Advent Sermon Series: Mothers of Jesus

Advent is that annual season when we look forward with great excitement and anticipation to the coming of Christmas — or, more specifically, to the coming of our Savior. It’s a season characterized primarily by waiting — as our ancestors in the faith waited for Jesus to come the first time, we in the New Covenant age are waiting for him to come a second time. This year at New Life, we will observe Advent on Sunday mornings by considering the accounts in the Bible of the mothers in the line of Jesus — those women God chose to take part in the eventual delivering of a blessed Savior to the world.          Dec. 3: Eve         Dec. 10: Sarah         Dec. 17: Bathsheba         Dec. 24: Mary
